"Sometimes the knot doesn't hold..." This illustration was completed using Turner Superfine Gouache on acrylic linen paper. The painting was completed in raw sienna as the main wash for the background. As an artist I use nothing but Turner Superfine Gouache, I consider it the absolute best for water colour renditions. The daring presence of the cliff is predominantly finished in olive green with hints of black added for emphasis sporadically throughout the composition. The simplicity of 'Precipice' is my best work yet when it comes to water colour - No distractions only thought, as to what is the true substance of this painting? Is it The Cliff?
